Moon Fantasy - completed 29-11-2009

Well she is finally finished and I am so thrilled with the fact that she is completed and this is my first HAED finish, so it makes her even more special.

Next on the plan is to get back into the stitching of Merry Christmas to all, and a few christmas decorations for a Round Robin.

Moon Fantasy - the end is near

Here are a couple of photos that I took over the last weekend, I had this totally relaxing stitching weekend, where it was just me, my stitching, music/dvd's and food, no distractions like internet, phones, tv, it was just me and my stitching, I am looking forward to finishing this HAED, it will be my first finish, the end is totally in sight with 400-500 stitches left to stitch, so I am getting pretty excited to get her finished.

I hope to get back to her this weekend and put the final touches into her so I can actually say that I have completed my first HAED, then bring on me getting back to Merry Christmas to all.

We have in order L to R
Friday Night, before putting a stitch in
Saturday Morning, after Friday's effort
Sunday Morning, after Saturday's effort
Sunday Evening, after Sunday's effort

First page completed

PhotobucketHere she is, this is the first page completed, I finished her last Sunday, this was after 14 days/nights of work. So I am now waiting for the next page to arrive, it will be a long month, although I will start working on Gossy again to keep me busy.

In the current HAED sale I have purchased 2 patterns and I received another one from the RAK fairy, QS Blue Morpho.... this is a stunning Blue Butterfly, I am so excited about starting this pattern, I will start one of these new ones as soon as there is a completed Storykeep, may get one other non-HAED project done, then kit up my new large HAED Merry Christmas to all! I would love to start this in the next couple of months...... first though I do need to relocate my stitching bug! Where o Where can she be! Will keep you posted!

Day 11 - progress pic

HAED Moon Fantasy

Well she is growing, lots and lots, I definately can't seem to put her down, the plan is to get page one of her almost finished this weekend, tonight I will be working on her eyes to see if I can totally bring her to life, starting to come down with a bit of a cold so may find that I have to stay home and stitch a bit (what a shame) and catch up on sleep and get rid of this cold, oh well such is life. This is moon fantasy after 9 days of stitching!

Works in Progress

Well it has been a long time between updates, but life has been real busy, I have managed to sneak in some time stitching though, I have started the Moon Fantasy Storykeep by HAED, this is a SAL through their website, I am thrilled with my progress, I do need to go back and fill in some of the confetti stitching, I find I am prefering to stitch the blocks, then go back and fill in the gaps.

This is after 5 days/nights stitching.

The other one that I am currently working on is the Gossamer Princess Storykeep also by
HAED, this seems to be much slower progress, it is not quite growing as much as I would like it too, so I need to find some days and weeks to stitch this, there is alot more confetti stitching in this, this is after 5 days/nights stitching.

With a couple of days stitching this weekend, I am not quite sure which one will grab my attention, and entice me to pick up the needle after I have finished the RR piece of a christmas decoration......, I will keep you posted!

First Stitches

Well on 8 June 2009, I stitched my first stitches on my HAED Storykeep, Gossamer Princess, very exciting, Cheryl and I are stitching this as a SAL both started at the same time and will share progress and updates, finished the last of my Christmas decoration as well last night, very frustrating working with Metallic threads, until I got some hints, made working with them slightly easier, still not a huge fan of them!

At the end of the week, will upload a pic of my progress on my Storykeep, still very excited bout starting it!

The Start!

Well here it is, I have finally started a Blog, I have so many things happening in my life I thought this was a great way for everyone to follow what I am doing with stitching and my life.
This weekend I am working on a Christmas Round Robin project, there are 13 people in the round, and progress is a bit slow, the piece I am working on is full of Metallic DMC threads and it is totally annoying me, the progress is real slow. But the bonus is, as soon as I get this one completed, I get to start my first HAED, Cheryl and I am working on a storykeep "Gossamer Princess" we both cannot wait to get started, threads and fabric are all waiting for both of us to finish our current projects. Once I get this one started, I will be starting another HAED storykeep as part of the HAED SAL for the remainder of the year, it is now time to stitch for me!
We have also joined up and are taking part in the Totally Useless SAL, progress is slow, but there are a few threads in the bottom of the jar, and hope with starting a HAED there will be alot more threads to add to the jar, I never thought collecting threads and putting them into a jar would be sooooo much fun.
Well thats it for now, i will update you all as soon as I have started my HAED and can then post some photos of my progress. Have a great week!
